Has anyone done a hidden mount for a bumper jack, like a hi-lift? My factory jack isn't tall enough and I'd like a clean mount for a hi-lift.

You could make a mount for it above the wheel well in the bed tight against the inner bed side. That way it won't effect cargo area. That what I thought of mounting mine. Or behind the seat on the flat part of the floor there is a bit more room down there. Inside will keep it from being seen and stolen.

I had mine mounted in the bed, pretty good spot if your truck is lifted or has a tonneau so no one can see it. I had a single bit axe mounted over the other fenderwell for a while too.

That's where I was trying to describe in my incoherent ramblings.

I just measured my mount. It looks like 32" diameter is max. I know I'm limited to 31" due to the width of my drop hitch. I'm going to run a stock spare LT235/85R16 so I don't have any issues. If I get a flat on the rear axle, I'll just have to swap a front tire to the rear.

Put a swing out off your bumper like a Jeep. Then you don't have to lay on your back and have that heavy bastard fall on you and won't require double work.

I thought about the swing out mount. Seems like it would be in the way of getting into the bed. Seems like they used to make a front bumper mount.
