heres my deal I'm putting a 454 in my 87 v20.the motor came out of a 93 burb.i have the transmission and t case out of the burb.i want to change to the transmission out of my truck to the the transmission from the burb.will it fit to my t case??

If I remember correctly, after they went to the round pattern adapters, all the round patterns interchange. The only catch will be the spline count on the output of the trans and t-case input.

the 93 transfer case is drivers side drop correct? The 4l80 is 32 spline output shaft. You need to find out what spline count your existing transfer case or transmission is. If your current trans is a 700/r4 or th350 it has 27 spline.

If the spline count is different then you can change the input shaft on the transfer case to match. After you've figured that out, figure out what adapter you'll need.

What transmission and t-case do you have in it now?

Or find a 205 with VSS, or have one machined, or use a passenger drop 241. Then new driveshafts etc..

If you happen to find a 91 3/4 4x4 suburban it will have it. Otherwise, advanced adapters, or as mentioned above

Pretty sure you are still going to have a spline count issue unless you change input shafts on tcase. What cross-member are you using?

I have a core 700 I was wonderin what to put in along
with my new 205 even a fuel injected 350 replacement
without computers?

What is the VSS ?

Vehicle Speed Sensor. A 4L80 needs a signal to know when to shift, comes from the throttle position and VSS.

For 4x4 the computer needs vss from the transfer case. 4l80e has two speed sensors, input and output. The rear one was used in 2wd applications and in 4x4 applications the one on the transfer case should be used. On my 91 all three are used, but probably brcause it was the first year for the trans.
