so I own a 1982 GMC K20 with what I believe is SM465 4 speed manual transmission and out of nowhere reverse has started acting up. Every other gear works fine but when I put it in reverse and start letting the clutch out it seems to give all the power from the engine to the transmission at once and jumps the truck nearly killing it. If I can keep it alive and rolling past the initial jump it will back up fine. I have no idea what's wrong. Do any of yall?

Yes it works fine in all the gears. Reverse is the only one that jumps
