This truck has been my personal daily driver for the past seven years. Everything works, and all maintenance has been professionally done with best-quality parts. Most work was done at Extreme Performance in Bloomington, IN. Freshly detailed at Ackerman Detail Services in Bloomington, IN, including ozone treatment of the interior. Nothing to do but get in and drive. I would not hesitate to jump in this truck and drive a thousand miles or more without any attention whatsoever. She's good to go.

1978 Chevrolet Cheyenne K-10 4WD half-ton pickup,
regular cab short box, in factory monochrome black.

Recent GM 10067353 350cid crate engine, with Comp Cams 12-300-4 marine/RV camshaft, Edelbrock 1406 carburetor, Edelbrock 2601 Air-Gap Performer intake manifold, Hooker 2453 long-tube headers and 2.25" dual exhaust with H-pipe and Flowmaster 40s, thermostatic air cleaner with cold-air induction, Accel distributor cap and rotor, Accel 48000-volt coil, Taylor wires, Proform valve cover hold downs with wire clips, 94-amp 12SI alternator, Flex-o-lite electric fan and controller.

Comp Cams simulator gives 285 hp @4000, 420 ftlb @2500.

Hella E-code front headlights on headlight relay, front bumper with built-in fog lamps, Aries step bars, dual 16-gallon tanks, dual fuel gauges, tachometer, semi-custom heated leather bucket seats with center console/jump seat, floor-mounted wiper mist button, JVC Arsenal KD-AHD69 CD Receiver, Highliner headliner with four Kicker DS400 speakers, Lanzar VCTBS8 active subwoofer, three 12 VDC accessory sockets under the dash, back-up camera, Garmin GPS.

1986 bed with dual fuel doors, and 1986 fuel tanks, filler necks, and filler hoses.

Tough Country EZ-Ride Springs and Shocks, +2" front, +3" rear; Moog ball joints, Warn locking hubs, modded NP203 for 2WD option.

Rhino Liner bedliner, tonneau cover.

Recent BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA 31x10.5R15 on Cragar 15x8 steel wheels.

New since 2010, all above plus: water pump, fuel pump, power steering pump, motorized fuel tank selector valve, alternator, radiator, heater blower, windshield wiper/washer motor, cab mount bushings, master brake cylinder, four brake slave cylinders, front disc rotors and calipers, rear drums.

Body condition: generally good, but it is going to need rocker panels and two small fender corners on the medium term for best appearance.

Total chassis mileage: 164,500
Current engine mileage: 21,750
Current tires mileage: 4,300

Includes original user manual, original RPO sticker, gas/maintenance log since April 2010, manuals for all aftermarket parts, and all receipts.

Just curious if you ever sold your truck. You did a great job building it. Don't think I could let it go.

Sorry for the delay. Been traveling.

Nope, haven't sold it. Couple people sniffing around, but no green yet.

I never planned to part with it, but I need the creature comforts now (health issues) and it's not fair (to karma) to let it just sit. I'm not a collector, I'm a driver.

I did enter it into a local auto show, just to get the visibility. Never thought it would also get a trophy. Maybe 150-160 vehicles there, and around 30-40 trucks.

You should put it on Ebay, I have sold a few on there. Sold a 1983 3/4 ton 4X4 on there a year ago or so and did pretty well. I've sold several motorcycles there too. I was really into the old KZ bikes and it's tough to get much for them locally. You do have to pay the fees but the national exposure gets you more money.

I have a lot more than $10k in mine and yours is nicer.
