Any dimensionally fitting seat can be installed, but buckets originally found in square bodies are easier. They still require a metal bracket welded in, but otherwise bolt in. Commonly found in suburbans up to 91. Pictured are the stands in position, ready to be welded in when I did a bucket seat swap.

The bracket can easily be replicated instead of cutting from donor as well. In my case, donor was available.

Don't do it. A bench seat lets your honey sit close to you(or your dog) and means you can carry 3 in a pinch inside the cab. Have the bench seat rebuilt and live the life.

Ya, have to pull the console back out to install new seat belts and get it wired up so I can use the USB ports for my phone.

How about a split bench instead of buckets?

That's a good alternative. I got seats out of a Cadillac Deville (electric). One thing to keep in mind is most electric seats don't allow the seat back to be pushed forward to get behind the seat.

I also think the split bench is a good idea. I've wondered if a 60/40 out of a base model 80s B/G Body would work so you'd have manual scoot and recline.

Not to mention the chance of road head is alot better too. Chicks don't like laying across the console.
