Rust prevention
I've been looking on YouTube about rust prevention for the doors of my truck. There is no rust in the doors at this time. Would like to keep them that way. I saw a video about melting petroleum jelly and pouring into the bottom of the doors. This got me to thinking about other products made...- Xman

Yes, gauge only reads between empty and 1/4. Both sides. Going to get a new gauge. Btw... could it be the printed circuit behind the gauges somehow? I'll surely find out when the gauge is removed I suppose.- Xman

Inaccurate fuel level reading
My fuel gauge reads a little over 1/4 of a tank of fuel when full. The truck has dual tanks and the gauge reads the same way on either tank. Because of that fact, I'm thinking the gauge is the problem. However, I wanted to check with folks in the know if anyone has experienced this as it could...- Xman

Replacement steering wheel
The Chevelle steering wheel arrived and it's in. Looks great! I had forgotten how thin steering wheels were back in the day. It's still an upgrade from stock. -

Replacement steering wheel
Hello all! I need a new steering wheel and thinking a 70 Chevelle 3 spoke type would look nice in the truck. The question is whether it would bolt in without any modification? I would buy the mount kit with the steering wheel from Austley's Chevelle parts. Thanks -

No Start Situation
Finally have time to work on the R10. Found the coil was bad. I have installed the new coil and the truck is running fine. Thanks to all that replied and gave advice. With the coil bad why would there be spark at a plug? Could it be that the spark was not hot enough? Very puzzling. Thanks again.- Xman

No Start Situation
Well....made it thru the hurricane with no issues other than too much yard cleanup and assisting the neighbors. I did the ALDL test and it only showed 12. No other codes. I am going to rent a fuel pressure tester next and see what happens. I did pour fuel into the TBI to see if it would fire...- Xman

No Start Situation
Thanks to all that have responded. Truck will have to wait until this Monday or Tuesday as my time will be taken up by hurricane prep. Hopefully I will have internet. Hopefully there will be power.- Xman

Thanks for clearing that up. I do see the fuel injectors pulse when cranking the engine. As far as the timing chain...I had the top end done about a month ago due to a leaking head gasket. Engine also received a new timing chain. Could this be an ignition control module if there is spark?- Xman

No Start Situation
Yes. The SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT is on with the key in the on position. Not sure what "jumping time" means for the fuel pump. Is that controlled by the ECM?- Xman

No Start Situation
87 R10 has spark and fuel but won't start. Was driving and engine shut down. Pulled plug and grounded it and there is spark. Had wife crank truck and saw injectors squirt fuel. Any ideas as to what has happened and what to look for?- Xman

Throttle sticky
Rock Auto delivered a new accelerator cable. Just installed it and now the throttle is smooth as glass. I guess there is a difference between manufacturerers of new cables.- Xman
