    This is what i have. The HEI module lasted about 1000 miles and quit leaving me stranded. Had it replaced with an echlin (?) from NAPA. We will see. FWIW the latter came with the heat sink paste which was a surprise.

    Since we are fuel issues be aware many clear plastic filters are coming apart inside allowing debris to either go right to pump or carb or the filter itself to block outlet. Even the ones that may still be supplied by edelbrock have failed.

    Learned the weak point in any GM HEI is the module. Failures are so frequent with many that some carry spares!!! Choose wisely

    Not only are prices ridiculous seems most of rebuilt items like water pumps, alternators, steering boxes and power steering pumps are a crap shoot in terms of reliability ad can fail at any time!!

    Funny. Just spoke to Dodge dealership re an alternator for a 2004 2500. They said they are having fits with remans and not just Cardone. Guess theres a chinese source that is really turning out garbage. They are quoting on new only $$$$$$$.

    This is true of almost all remanufactured parts today so heads up. Recently Had a 2 NAPA reman power steering pumps fail in rapid order. (84 GMC). Last one nearly resulted in a fatal accident. Alternator belt tension is critical and readjustment is recommended as needed.
