going to jump on this thread to see if I would be better off doing a complete axle swap on my k10, or would it be better to just swap the guts out. just wanting a lower gear.. 3.08s to 3.73
Yea I was super surprised. I'll be happy if I can get a few more years out of it, then throw a nice paint job on it as well as get rust and body work fixed.
You won't be disappointed. Maybe aching the next day or two from all the elbow grease spent on it but it will be worth it lol
Here's a before and after going buy some new moldings to go around and put a new pinstripe on. Think I can get a few more yrs out of it till I throw a new paint job on. Next job is new exhaust and taking wheels off and refurbishing them.
Been reading alot on here before I decided to introduce myself. Just bought an 84 Silverado k10 that I've been trying to buy from my brother in law for about 5 yrs. He bought an 87 k20 that he's been trying to get for a couple years now as well. So it was a win win for both. Trying to get it...
makes sense! I just bought it yesterday, so I haven't really got to mess with it much. drove it to work this morning and started noticing it. thanks again for the info.
guys im kind of new on here but I think im doing this right.. just bought an 84 k10 with 350. wondering why in od if you give it too much gas it starts cutting out and almost like the carb is overloading? wondering if maybe somebody else has had this same problem?
