Now I see what you guys are saying. Thanks for keeping me in line.
I have to think a little more about this... Maybe I just paint my existing wagon wheels since they're in decent shape with minimal rust. They're just very poorly painted at the moment.
White wagon wheels it is!
I've thought about painting them, but this truck may see Minnesota winter at some point and I'm afraid of some rust working through painted compared to powder coated wheels. They're not bad as far as rust goes, but they're spray painted silver over white and very...
I see the consensus is hubcaps if stock steelies are used. Unfortunately I aint got a set of hubcaps. I suppose that steers me towards redoing the wagon wheels. Thanks for the input!
So I bought a new set of 265/75R16 BFGs for my K20, now I need to decide what to mount them on. The picture below shows what the truck is currently sitting on (aftermarket wagon wheels with ancient 235/85R16 tires). I also have a set of stock steel wheels. No matter which set I go with, they...
@305_Square_Body Did you get it figured out over the weekend?
I went through this struggle on my umpteenth brake shoe replacement last year... Undo the brake line from the wheel cylinder to get the pins to fully compress within the wheel cylinder. Then the shoes will come in and the drum will...

I don't know what to suggest, but a using pressure gauge that can be monitored while driving can tell you a lot.
The truck looks great!
How much did it cost you to powder coat the set of wheels? I need to do something similar, and am debating between painting them or doing it right like you did.
Is the vacuum line to the firewall still in place?
I think that's necessary to get everything functioning properly, and I don't see it mentioned above.
Nice score! I like your "trial period" idea while waiting for the title.
Like you, I have no desire to own a vehicle like that, but I have enough sense that I wouldn't pass on that offer either.
What's causing them to break? What's different between your experience and the videos you've watched?
Putting the gasket on the pinch weld first, and then fitting the windshield in place is the correct way. At least it worked for me.
Make sure you have the appropriate hand tools (eg plastic...
If there's insufficient engagement between the driveshaft and the bushing in the transmission, you'll feel a vibration at highway speed. Ask me how I know...
