    Fuel guage /gas tank wiring

Ok having just went through this, here is what I know: The green wire is the power wire to the fuel selector vlave, provided you have a dual tank system. There is a baby blue wire attached to the top of one of the tanks sending units, and a tan one on the other sending unit. Both tanks...

Where can I find a fuel tank wiring harness??

I gave up and cut the rubber plug and put spade connectors on the ends and plug them in individually to each spade coming out of the firewall. I then put some wire loom around the wires and it fit perfectly in the hole and stayed somewhat waterproof. I shouldnt have too much water on that...

Where can I find a fuel tank wiring harness??

So my truck will start and run and then will die. I have determined that the fuel selector valve is losing power, thus not allowing fuel from the drivers side tank to continue to flow. I have traced all the wires back to the rubber plug that passes through the firewall. I have power from the...

new style power steering pump with old style steering box

Update!!! I found an adapter through speedway motors. It is a brass insert that goes into the back of the power steering pump and changes it from o ring to inverted flare. I then used the regular stock hose with inverted flare on both ends. It works perfectly and has no leaks. The...

Now I am to the AC system and need help figuring out what hoses to use, since the truck originally had the compressor on the drivers side and now it...

new style power steering pump with old style steering box

Ok, so I installed the GM serpentine belt system on my 1978 and now have to figure out the best way to address the steering lines. the return line is the same, but the other line is not. The issue is the new power steering pump uses the little o ring fitting that is supposed to be better and...

    AC mods/upgrades/conversion question.

I went to the serpentine setup. I have two or three of the old compressors with brackets. If you decide to go with the old setup, and plan to head west to Phoenix anytime soon, you can have one of these.

Over a Year and still not done:(

Thanks for the pic Thanks so much for the pic! I feel so much better. I am going to try and upload a pic of mine. I have identified the correct wire. It may have been purple at one time but it looks brown to me now. The top wire is the red wire which I have running to the big positive on...

Over a Year and still not done:(

I have purple to the inside fuse box, but no purple coming out in the engine bay. I don't have any cut wires so I am stumped. Electrical is my weakness, not that my strengths are much better. I am stumped
