No. the glove box and center console mechanism and locks the same, at least not on my '83 K5. The console lid is so much thicker than the glove box metal that the threads that hold the lock in place will not take. Ran across this thread looking to find a place that might have one to sell. No... -
Center Console Knob
Not so fast guys... the part suggested was for a Cadillac fleetwood glove box lock. Hoping it would be the correct size I ordered it. It was exactly the same as the glove box lock for my '83, too short. Back to the drawing board or junk yard, as it were. Like hunting diamonds in a parking lot. ugh -
