    Fresh rebuilt motor with less than 100 miles on it. My issue is this- what would be causing pressure under the valve covers? At idle there seems to be no pressure, but once rpms raise up the pressure increases and pushes oil past grommets and out the breather cap. Could a valve be staying open...

    I bought it used and it had this written on the side of the bellhousing. “4x4-Kevlar Clutches-Shift Kit-Fresh Rebuild-B&M Pan”. I even swapped the old governor from my busted trans that was previously built and it didn’t really change much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Let me rack your mind on this then. What would keep it from wanting to rev over 4K at WOT 4-2? In neutral, the motor revs great and so forth in 1st or 2nd. But when you want to “pass” someone it doesn’t want to rev more than 4K. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    It seems to be all coming now that this different trans is in it. Never had issues before with rpms. I have heard that 700R4s don’t go well with low gears though. That’s my concern. Do I need to raise the ratio? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
