What new tools have you got lately?
I have no experience with them before. My other tap and die set is an older craftsman. But the HB set recut/cleaned up the 3/4" threads just fine in the lower control arm shaft. -

I buggered one of the lower control arm threads getting the old bushing out. So I needed to buy a new tap and die set as mine only went up to 1/2' Harbor Freight to save the day and pocket book. The set seems really well made. If I was needing to use these all the time I'd spend for a name brand... -

No budget for tubular control arms on this truck and for as much as I drive this one not needed. It will be a big improvement replacing original worn suspension and gearbox upgrade to quick ratio. -

Maybe we'll see. Front suspension on this beast first, oil pan gasket/rear main seal, probably a timing chain and looks like some brake fun too. Oh the joy hope to be done before memorial day. -

73-88 Tailgate
Here is a great condition tailgate with some surface rust and a few dings on the top edge. Not drilled for trim bezel. $100 picked up in Chesapeake, VA will ship if you want to pay for shipping. -

I didn't see the hitch pic. With that being said yes go get a weight distribution hitch and you will be fine. -

My 1/2ton LB with the HD springs package is 5600 so yours will be alittle heavier. A weight distribution hitch will make it a smoother ride but your truck will have no issue towing them home. Yes you will be close if not/over the 9200 rating but not to worry the truck will handle it fine. Load... -
Anybody got a fully functional cassette player?
You can send yours out to be serviced by any of the multiple radio refurb outlets. Quick google search will get results. You could have them possibly add bluetooth, RCA's and auto inputs also.- Magna86

What U-bolts are you guys buying?
Went on LMC and ordered some there along with a hood bumper kit for roughly what i would have spent locally. Local shops want almost $24 a bolt.- Magna86

What U-bolts are you guys buying?
I need to replace the U-bolts when I swap the 6 leaf springs in. What brand are you guys buying? Part#'s. I'm going to ask the spring shop this week for a price too. I tried to remove my original ones to reuse but that's not happening. I'm going to have to cut them off.- Magna86

Out with the old and in with the new electric washer fluid pump. Going to cut some new hose so it wraps better but happy they work! -

I finally found a decent deal on the 56" 1825lb rear leaf springs for my suspension rebuild! They were cheaper than Rock Auto too. I have all the pieces for the rebuild. I'll be sending my gearbox out to be rebuilt to a quick ratio. -
Fixing Rear Leaf Springs
As I mentioned before my rear leaf springs are shot on the 76. They are the 56". I'm looking at replacing them with 1800lb springs but they aren't cheap. $260 each plus shipping.
