    hinge/window gear lube?

    I live in NW AZ. sun/heat are a problem for lube. I have tried dry graphite, didnt last, pentrant oil, didnt last. motor oil collects dirt. white lithium only last a few time, them moves away. I would try motorcycle chain lube, but it gets gummy, kinda scared of that lube. so what is left...

    my neighbor just did Camaro lowers, with an autozone loaner kit. he had never done anything like that, and did it, no problem. oriley also has loaner kits. 0 dollars.

    Quiet muffler recommendations

    I 2nd the old Turbo style mufflers. have a set on my 67 C-10 panel tk. at idle they sound good. in motion, no noise at all. an old days test showed they were the best all-round. mine are Cyclone [which prolly arent made anymore]. Thrush very close. life may be dependent on weather. Rod in AZ.

    Brake bleeder system

    Russel fittings makes spring loaded bleeders. one man deal. put a clear plastic hose on the bleeder, put end in can or 2L bottle, crack bleeder [will take a bit to find how much to turn out]. pump pedal a few strokes. close bleeder, move to next in line. works great. Rod in AZ

    New discovery on fuel issue

    my gas gauge problem...filled the tank [goes to 3:00-as normal], drove 110 miles. next time I drove, the gauge was less than 1/4, which is way unnormal. I drove around corners, weaved, hit bumps. nothing would change. no massive leaks and locking cap, so...reading here, tank switch showed up...

    usually, 'diesel' or run on is caused by the throttle blades being too far open. meaning a higher curb idle speed. the engine continues to run because it continues to suck gas thru the carb. hot cyls. ignite the fresh fuel charge, and it continues! rich jetting is also a culprit. as is over...

    Do these racing stripes work on this square?

    want to be really brave? in the late 50's up to mid 60's, an asymmetrical stripe [that's just one, so you dont have to look it up in the dictionary!] off-set to just one side, usually driver side. saw a Dodge car at the Chillin' show a few days back, with a single stripe. rod in AZ
