    Looking for another work truck

You have made your decision so this is just for information purposes. I have a 2005 4x4 crew cab with 183,000 miles on the clock. I have owned it for 14 years since it had 8,000 miles. Issues have been varied but many were covered under warranty. Had a scary electrical issue that would cause the...

    Any bikers?

Doubt I’d qualify as a biker but I’ve owned and ridden this one for the last 20 years. Hard to believe how fast the time has passed. Previous to this bike it had been over 20 years since I had owned a bike.

    Productive day in the garage

i have a 2005 Nissan Titan that has been in desperate need of a brake upgrade. The early Titans suffered from undersized rotors and calipers. I read where I could upgrade to newer larger brakes that began being used in the 08 Armadas. I got all the part numbers I needed and started ordering back...

    Picture heavy. G10 nomad van

Kudos for time spent with the family, I messed up on that when my son was a child. I’m not a camper as I didn’t camp as a youngster. When anyone brings up going camping I always say I got all the camping I’ll ever need when I was in the Army. However I now have twin grandsons that are 3 1/2 and...

    2015 Camaro V6 2LS

I have another obsession with Chevrolet’s late Corvairs. Particularly mid mounted V8 conversions. But the Corvair guys are drooling over the thought of a salvage C8 drivetrain to slide under a late model Corvair body. Someone will do it, just a matter of time.

    2015 Camaro V6 2LS

The brightest minds at Chevrolet say they have taken that platform as far as is feasible for them to produce and as you say the C7 is a phenomenal car especially the Z versions. Just because the C8 is mid- engine does not make it a European cross breed. GM has been producing mid engine...

    2015 Camaro V6 2LS

I wasn’t comparing the two, just pointing out that things are changing all the time. I just checked Camaro’s sales numbers and they have been steadily falling since 2011. From 80,000+ to about 50,000 annually. 2019 looks to be on par with that give or take a little. I also read where their sales...

Post a pic of your first car or restoration!

Nothing good, I was showing the good side. My son took it for a ride in a ditch on the other side but no hard hit just bent sheetmetal. Sitting all this time hasn’t helped either, I’ll bascially have to start over on it when I get my new abode remodeled to mamas liking.

Post a pic of your first car or restoration!

Took this picture a few days ago. First time this car has seen daylight since 1997. It only moved a few miles to my brother-in-laws shop because I was closing on my house the next day and it had to be moved pronto!

    1996 corvette zip tie special

I like C4s better than they like me. Ingress and egress are both a challenge for my age and size. The footwell for the driver is too small for me to be comfortable for extended drives, I like to move around some. But it is a Corvette and can really handle a curve at most any speed when set up...

    Sold the 2013 Buick Regal

Well, they did bring back the Z28 Camaro. Lots of great performance cars out there these days with the age old problem of being well out of my budget. I’m glad they are still developing and building them though as there is always hope of buying one when it’s 10 years old like I did with my 99 C5.
