What's the engine out of originally? My 78 Malibu has a 350 Vortec out of a 97 Chevy truck and the block isn't even drilled for a mechanical fuel pump pushrod. I have an electric fuel pump on it.
Pretty sure you can just unbolt the shroud and push it back over the fan to remove the radiator. I've had a few squarebodies and don't remember one that you couldn't do that way.
I guess it's a moot point for mine now, closer inspection on my frame tonight while starting disassembly revealed major rust damage on the frame. It's so bad I can't see putting any money into this.
