Hey guys thanks for all the responses. I think the issue was a clogged vent tube. I crawled under there and it was caked over with dirt and oil. I think the fact that the tube was clogged meant that the pressurized fluid was being forced up the dipstick which would explain why some ended up on...
While cleaning up the engine bay today I noticed that the fluid was actually transmission fluid. I've seen some things that point to a clogged vent tube so I'm gonna try to see what I can see.
Hey Everyone,
I noticed a thick cloud of exhaust smoke behind me while driving and when I parked and checked it out I saw that oil had exploded all over the passenger side of the engine bay. There's no oil on the driver side of the engine bay, and as you can see in the picture there's quite a...
While replacing the heater core I decided to try to figure out why my blower motor doesn't work. I tried to narrow down the issue but am having trouble so maybe somebody can help me figure it out.
The fuse appears to be fine.
There is power from the switch in every position except for low. I...
I have a Jvc kd-r530 installed in my truck and it works fine when I'm in park, but when I put the truck in gear there's an error saying it's miswired and I need to check wires and reset the unit. Does anybody know what could cause this?
Thanks Camar068 I did have it goinin backeards. However in my defense the instructions explicitly showed the clip going in the wrong direction. But everything's all good now and the truck is up and running again.
Here's another picture with the bracket in the pedal arm. It's just a plastic clip that gets pushed into the pedal arm, but small amount of pressure results in the clip just being pushed out.
in the process of installing mr gasket throttle cable and I realized that the plastic bracket that attaches to the gas pedal arm slips out when I apply pressure to the gas pedal. Does anybody have any experience with this?
Four barrel carbs get better gas mileage than 2 barrel? That seems a bit counter intuitive to me haha. Also any suggestion on how to hook up the kickdown cable or get more clearance for the throttle cable?
Would I just have to get a new mounting bracket, and if so which one?
