I just received a new fuel tank from Rock Auto and I don't want it to end up looking like my old one (rusted and generally ****** looking). I like the look of a new silver tank, but if I don't do something with it eventually it will look shabby. I was thinking about spraying it with clear rock...- curtis_rak

U-joint selection
I stopped by a local parts store the other day to grab new u-joints for my truck, and I didnt realize there were two options; u-joints with 1-1/16" bearings and some with 1-3/16" bearings. Do I need to rip mine out to determine what I have? or is there an easy way to know which ones to get...- curtis_rak

I found a headliner that was in decent shape at the local pick-your-part and decided to try my hand at refurbishing it. I used a 1/8" foam as a backing for the material and then very carefully glued a black, faux-leather, marine vinyl to it. I'm very happy with how it turned out...- curtis_rak

85 tailgate on 75?
Just thought if do a quick follow up to this... Overall 85 tailgate seems to be a decent replacement option for the 75 if you are on a budget like I am. I paid $60 for the gate at the wrecker and I would say the condition of it was a 9/10. Just a couple things though to keep in mind...- curtis_rak

85 tailgate on 75?
Hey all I have a 75 GMC High Sierra with a really rough tailgate. I found a mint tailgate at a wrecker from an 85 Chev. Will this tailgate work for me? The quick connect bracket looks a bit different but at a quick glance it looks possible. Anyone done this? Or am I on glue....? Thx! Curtis...- curtis_rak
