any concerns with the heim joints ratting/moving on the bolts or do you plan on running NAS bolts? Have you thought about a way to make it a double shear setup for the heim vs single? What size tubing ans wall thickness did you use? Also did you plug weld the threaded adapter...
i just bought a harness from BP Automotive when i did my swap. it was easy ans simple. I had tryed to have another place cut down the stock harness and it never worked right. k

$1500 motor
$1000 fuel setup now lines/fittings/pump
$1000 AC setup
$1000 BP harness/program computer ( wouldn't mess with cutting down an old harness)
$1000 miscellaneous things like fluids motor mounts, charge the AC, ECT.

I used BP Automotive on my truck. they make a great harness and were great to deal with as well as fast getting it to me. I plan on using them for my next harness also. they use all new wires crimped to GM specs and they test everything before it leaves.
does anybody know what it takes to swap out a ‘74 auto/tilt steering column over to an ‘89 suburban column auto/tilt/ and cruse. i want a column that has the cruse setup so i can hook up my drive by wire stuff to it.
timing should not be at zero, there are tons of videos on you tube on how to set it. Also there are tons on how to do valves, i would double check those as well. if nothing else its good to know how to do them.

i put the one from the 2006 truck in mine. i used the stock brake pedal and just matched the connection point from where it pivots down to the rod. I also had to cut the rod coming out of the master and thread it so i could attach the original push rod.

IF I remember right the th400 has a long shaft for the 4wd one and a short shaft for the 2wd. they interchage but the trany need to be pulled apart to change them out.
