Anybody out there in Pain and Suffering K5 Land run into this problem? CARid purchased Detroit Metal. Connector about 30 degrees out. I'm sure its the wrong part.
Well. On my 87 K5, jacking on the oil pan just lifts the whole truck. Transmission mount nuts removed. What helped me in changing my mounts today was jacking near the mount one at a time. I stuffed a 10" 2X4 between the block and the stock manifolds. Worked great. I'd say this was my vibration...
The pic below is what Im dealing with. Maybe 87 was a cursed year for front grilles. And if I understand correctly, it was the only K5 with the fuel injection badge on the TG. Same as the ones on Cadillac cars that year.

Having more fun driving my low mileage K5 (Daily), than I ever did my 17 SLT Premium Truck. Has anybody found a place where they only sell the upper and lower grille molding clips? Thank you.
