    I used the C20 springs from my BBC Suburban on my 79 C10 454 truck, that used to house a straight six. They'll fit, don't know how much lift it'll give.

    Manual to power steering gear Steering,

    I have an 87 C20 Suburban factory quick ratio power steering gear and one from an 85 C10. The Suburban C20 seems a bit larger (maybe not) . Hopefully the pitman arms fit the same. I thought about keeping the manual steering, but when I go to park I get those "learn how to drive!" looks.

    Does the slip yoke have to be at 3/4 - 1 inch out from bottoming out, or as long as it's still on the splines a couple inches am I going to have to worry about the drive shaft slipping off?     Swapped a th400 from an 87 Suburban t.b.i. into a 79. I sold the t.b.i. system and bought a carb. My question is now that the solenoid isnt going to downshift the trans off of the relay and e.c.m. , how do I go about wiring it up to allow the trans to downshift?
