I've had 2 flats/blowouts in my 28 yrs of driving both from humongous potholes I just wasnt able to avoid. My son has had 5 in 5 yrs but never hits anything :lol: :shrug: If you travel with a group of other truck guys, one of them will probably have a spare an would let you borrow it if need...- bluex

Good advice in here but one thing I'll add for parts availability at stores. Unless you happen to break down near a hub store for that brand, more than likely the part you need won't be in stock. The smaller stores don't carry alot of stuff for 73-87 an even 88-98 anymore (at least in my local...- bluex

NV4500 questions
I cant help with the 4x4 specific questions but I can the others Yes it'll bolt to your engine, use your stock flywheel but you'll need to use a clutch disc an pressure plate for the 01. They switched to internal slave cylinders in 96 an it takes a different style pressure plate. Basically...- bluex

What have you done to your square lately??
I bought one of these an it's been the best money I've spent on a tool in a while. Works great, I didn't even need a breaker bar an it stopped out a parts store puller like your first one an didn't even budge.... -
Wheel and tire size help!!
Measure what clearance you have now. A 3/4 drop will probably just close up the gap you have to the tire now. If you stay at a 3/4 drop a 30/31" tall tire will still be fine. 27" tires on the front are what you need for a 4 or 5" drop. I run a 30.5" (295/45/20) tall rear tire on my air ride...- bluex

I'm not mad, it's just the typical bad info an opinion of "don't ruin a truck by lowering it" bs that's spouted all over the place by people that don't or have never had lowered trucks.... These trucks have been around an been lowered forever now. The "engineering" has been done for decades...- bluex

No difference on inners between 10/20/30. Only difference is 73-80 and 81+. 73-80 inners will give a little more room on an 81+.- bluex

1. Depends on how you want to use the truck. A flip can be done without a notch, but if you plan use it to it capacity it will bottom out on the axle sooner. 2. On a 3/4 drop you can pretty much stick with the same overall height tire as stock.- bluex

OBS seats in your Square. Who done it, Whats needed?
Get an extra set of brackets off a bench. Take off all the obs bracket an sliders so you have just the seat. Put the square sliders on it, bend the tab on the inside rear to match the floor an drill a hole. Build a bracket to mount the front inner mount. That's how I did my 60/40. Or build... -
Cowl Hood
Nope, mine was Carolina Truck Shop. I'm no longer there though an they are no longer selling parts. We did sell the Key Parts hoods though. They were well made an we never had any major fitment issues out of them. They were functional but have factory style bracing on the other side.- bluex

What have you done to your square lately??
Do you know where the block an hardline came from or was it part if the kit. I had to have a S10 line set modified for my vintage air setup because I couldn't find anything like that.
