    Can this be done? I have a cracked 1990 np241 with vss and I would like to swap it over to the NP208. Are the tail shafts the same? Can I just swap VSS parts over? Please any input

    Thank you for the reply. There is a .006 difference between the two and that Is too close to call for me. I can pound in either one. I was just hoping someone had some good 241 info but that's asking a lot on a 72-87 forum

    I have a 241c in my k10 that is filling up from the transmission. Everything points to replacing TC input seal. My problem is there are 2 types of seal, a dual lip, single lip. Which one do I use?! The seal was beyond recognizable when I got it out in 1000 pieces. TC is out of 90-91 suburban...

    Buzz from engine with key on

    I turn the key without starting and I get a very loud buzz... sounds like it's coming from the distributor area. Starts up fine but I can't have this mystery buzz. Any input would be great thanks

    Past 5 months I have installed in my 85 k10 a 97 suburban second row seat, 4l60E and TCU for it, 241 TC , 91 suburban insrument cluster, 97 burban wiper motor, heater controls , Cadillac 140 amp alternator, AC delete with nice home made setup. List goes on and pictures soon to come!

    4l60e swap questions

    The input shaft splines were 27 for the TC and that is same as 700r4.. So I'm assuming out put should be 27 right? I'm still a newbie so I hope that's right. Also I read something about AC sine wave created by this 241 c sensor. Will that signal work in this TCU?

    Does it matter how I orientate the 2 wire hook-up for the output shaft speed that connects to the VSS sensor? Will the 2 male blades from the sensor send the same signal if I rotate the connector? I don't know how to words this better unfortunately.
