After I asked that I started searching around and realized that the rear wasn't usually a problem. I picked up a 14 bolt for my V10. Unless I come across a sweet deal on a front D60, I'll be converting my 10 bolt to 8 lug so I should have no problem running 15s.
My 87 V10 has a cable drive on the np208. I think there is a reluctor that would fit on the shaft where the speedo gear is. I might even have one. It's a 40 pulse. So if that sensor would fit the cable drive location on the TC, it might work. I have a 208 on the floor in my garage. I might have...
The timing would work out for that. I read that they went to the aluminum top cover around 88. I wasn't sure if they ever used the granny 4 speed in the GMT400 trucks. If not then the aluminum top covers are probably hard to come by since they would have only been around for a few years.
I'm not sure why I can't post in classifieds or wanted but does anyone have a top cover they're willing to sell me? Mine is a little cracked at the pins. I'd like to upgrade to the aluminum one.
I may have just gotten a lead on a complete 8.1 with the harness and all! How cool would that be. I'm not going to want to get rid of this thing if I get that in it.
Well, that fell through but now I'm obsessed with finding an 8.1 to put in this thing.
Ha! Cool Place. I thought it was like a roundhouse kick! I like Georgia. I used to spend summers with my grandparent. They oversaw an old gold mine that was turned into prospector club. I had good times out there in the Georgia woods.
My 465 is set up for a hydro clutch. I think it was swapped...
good info! I think my pedal assembly feels good but I haven't really checked it out thoroughly. I will keep the SM465. It's tough and I have it and I like the granny gear for crawling. That is a 208 so I'm happy to have the passenger drop TC. Do you think you can get a picture of your MC...
Let me know what you learn. I'll have to buy a clutch and pressure plate and I'm going to have to buy a master cylinder and modify the manual clutch pedal to work with it. I'm very familiar with the ls platform. I'm less familiar with the square body trucks.
I've been trying to sell this old suburban but no one wants it since the motor needs work. I think I'm going to put a 5.3 in front of this sm465 and throw it in. Then I'll just enjoy driving it until someone wants to buy it.
I just picked up a set of 63" springs with the shackle flip attached to them from a friend who has a fab shop. J.R., please give me some advise on what it takes to get those springs mounted up. Did you just install the shackle flip and relocate the front hangers? Did you drill and bolt the front...
Is the B52 kit all bolt on or welded? What do the 63" springs come off of and what does it take to get them on there?
Here are some pics of how badly mine is set up. Including the rear spring numbers. I can't find anything about them by searching out the numbers.
I bought the Big Blue Suburban and I've got my hands full. Anyway, it came with something like a 6" lift that seems to be all springs but I can't figure out what ****** springs they used. The front shackle angle is backwards like the spring is too short and the front and rear rides like a...
I have some of that Tractor spply mat behind my third row. I already had it laying around but I'd probably get a piece cut to length if I were doing the whole back. It would be less than weathertech. No sides but I love how non-slip it is. I hate stuff sliding around in the back.
