The LEDs mount into the same sockets as the stock bulbs, they are a replacement 168/194 bulb. The ones I chose have a side firing diode on each side so they don't cause glare and hot spotting. There are (5) LEDs for the backlighting of the gauges and (7) for the various indicator lamps. I swapped everything but the 4WD and ALDL lamps as the ALDL wasn't happy with an LED for some reason and the 4WD indicator will likely never get used, plus I stole that LED to use for the A/C Control panel because I didn't plan for that one...

FYI, the speedo will always look a little dimmer than the other gauges because there is a goofy bridge built into the cluster case that blocks light from getting to the face of the gauge in the upper right half of the face.
Also, I did paint the whole interior of the cluster case and the blue back of the trim panel a high visibility flat white to reflect and disperse the light better.
