How about the V6, I know not Ideal but transportation.
The 3.9 v6 is just a 318 with 2 cups cut off. Pretty reliable. If you can find stick and v6 that would be good. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET A 4.7!!!!! Well unless you like spitting rockers out of the valve covers if so have at it lol they are cheap for a reason. Oh god I must be sick regurgitating Dodge stuff:puke:

My curiosity has gotten the best of me, so I just gotta ask.....

I'm still open to 99-02 Chevy 1500 & 2500s. I'm a Chevy and Dodge fan, and I've always liked the look of those dodges. Its got everything a truck should have, Wide, V8s, hard working, lots of after market, and all that.

If you're referring to the dodge, you forgot to add poor build quality, built from ****** materials, and poorly designed steering and suspension.

Which leads to poor resale value, and/or worthless... Sorry to be so negative, but this is a GM truck site..

Stay away from late 90s early '00s dodge products. I had a 99 durango for a long while. It was my first car. Also my first engine install I put more money into that thing than I care to admit. All of it was NOT by choice. You name it... I replaced it. Eventually I ran into an electrical issue I could not get figured out and finally gave up. This was why I had to pull the original engine:

Never again will I own a Dodge product.

Did I mention the driver's rear window on my neighbor's BRAND NEW Dodge just randomly exploded? Seriously. It just blew right out sitting there in the driveway. Fuggen weird man.

The GM 5.3 is tried and true, pretty tough to beat. If you can't find one of them a 2v Fjord Triton is a good option.

The triton should have been called trident as in the gum because I think that’s what they used to hold the valve train together and to hold the exhaust manifolds on....just saying lol

88-97 Chevys, heard that after 100,000 they have electrical problems. Roadkill Rotsun goes to Lemons. Is this true?

I've got an '88 k1500 as my back up daily. 189,000 miles. It's as dependable as an anvil. I'd drive it anywhere.
