Lifting my 85, what do you think?

I am looking to install a 2 inch suspension lift in my 85 k10. What do you recommend for tire size. If you have pictures post them. I'm thinking maybe 33s with 16inch wheels. Not sure if 35s will fit.

Currently my truck is stock height with 31x10.50 15s.

It's all about what you would want to see on your truck. If it were me, I'd do stock rallies on 33s.

I like when my tires fill the wheel well and I would rather they didn't rub, but its not the end of the world.

33's will fit up a good portion of the wheel wells. Shouldn't have much issue on roads, but off them you'll probably have a bit of rubbing.

35's will rub everywhere and anywhere with only a 2" lift unless you do major cutting to the fenders.. i.e. like cutting a good solid 2-3" strip the whole way around them.

I'd say that with only the 2" lift you're going with, stick with the 31's for now and see how much room you've got everywhere when its all twisted up and on a day to day basis. Then you can determine if you can only fit 32's or step up further to the 33's.

That was at stock height with 32x11.50 R15 Yokohama Geolander AT/S tires on a set of 15"x10" Slot Mags with 4" Backspacing. Fenders have been slightly trimmed at the front and rear of wheel well.

Previously had a set of 33" coopers or dunlops on the same stock height, but they definitely rubbed at full turn and when driving through dips.

No way man 8" lift and 24" tires is the only way to go.......

Missing the 20"x12" wheels for your 24" tires.

2" lift will clear 33" tires easily. For reference, here is a pic of my truck at stock height with 32x11.50x15 trailblazer a/t tires. Fenders were never trimmed and no rubbing issues.

That's 24" total height jack!!! Lol

Love the Look I think a 2inch lift and 33x12.50 15s will look good.
