Behind the taillight is the cleanest look IMO A few here have done it. @Mr Clean did his a couple months back.

I did mine that way because if I want to throw **** in the bed I won't have to worry about damaging it or covering it up. For a show truck hands down in the bed is the obvious choice.

to add to this I found a video on youtube. Same thing in a nutshell. Hopefully have mine tackled over my 3 day weekend this weekend. I really think the hardest part is gonna be how far do I go with cleaning up the frame while I have the bed off. This is only a mock up for the LS swap in the future so I dont have to run lines....only get the tank mounted as I'll be driving it to work with the original tank Monday.

I did this.

I need someone to make me one of those boots. When I do mine I also intend to use a fuel door I've cut out of another bed. I'd like to see the other side of this one to see the filler on the outside.

Has anyone yet had any luck installing a Burb 40 gallon tank in a Longbed? I measured once and it seemed to be tight to the rear axle to me. Not sure I like it being that close to the rear axle.

has anyone relocated both doors so you could fill from either side?

You want to fill your Blazer tank and saddle tank on one side? Just trying to clarify.

No, sorry. Eliminating the saddle's. Curious if anyone has relocated both doors to the rear to fill the single relocated tank this discussion is about.

Sounds neat but I am not sure its worth the work unless the whole idea is to be unique.

I did a Blazer tank and put the door on the passenger side rear.

If I did is what he means it wasn't that bad.

I love the blazer tank mod. I did one on a step side years ago. The duel door and filler neck idea was what I was commenting on. No reason it couldnt be done......

I like unique.....plus not worrying about looking for the correct side of a pump. I figure do drivers side, then tackle the other at leisure.

Gotcha I retained my original doors for exhaust ports just because. The truck is gonna be kinda obnoxious so I went that extra step to make it more so.

Would you add the filler and vent connections to the tank before installing it? I figure you would want to do that work right away on a new tank.
