Hey guys, need a little help identifying what type of tranny and transfer case i have-like i said in previous posts, guy i bought the truck from couldn't remember, and wasn't very knowledgeable about cars. The guy he bought it from unfortunately passed away a few years ago, so can't go and ask him:/I got 2 pics of the t-case and one of the tranny showing the serial numbers? First pic is the tranny, bottom 2 are the t-case

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

A pic of the shape of the trans pan would really narrow it down, also a shot of the back of the t-case. There should be an identification tag on the back also.

You don't have the same rounded rear output on the transfer case that I do. So I'd say its safe to say that you don't have an NP203.

More Pics

Heres more pics of the tranny and t-case. I counted 13 bolts on the tranny pan, so im guessing its a turbo 350 then ifi'm not mistaken? Also got a picture of the back of the t-case

Huh... wonder why the tailhousing on his 203 looks completely different from mine? You'd think they'd be the same.

This is just a suggestion, but if you want to off-road it regularly, I'd replace the flexplate cover. Unless, of course, you removed it yourself, and you have it laying around somewhere.

hard to say. especially since there's only a couple years difference between his and yours. But, it's definitely not a 205, or a 208.

Funny you should mention that.... Mine got taken off a while back for who knows what reason.... Should probably stick mine back on there too.

Wonder if it was a slight design change to help prevent leaking at the seal there since it appears that the largest difference is the addition of gussets around the outside diameter.

Awesome, thanks guys! Yeah, i noticed the flexplate cover missing after i got the truck home and started workin on it. Don't offroad as much as i would like, but planning on taking it on the platte river 2-3 times this summer for jeep jam, but since the guy i got it from had it as Lake Mac and drive it in the sand/water all the time, i wouldn't think it would be that big of an issue?
