Hi all, I am redoing my interior to match my exterior paint and thought some might be interested. I should of taken more photos during the process for a better write up, but I didn't. The metal of the dash was already refinished so that made life easier. The gauges were original, the only two gauges that worked was the fuel and water temp, there was an aftermarket oil pressure gauge that worked as well. no factory tach that I wanted to add. I ordered a set of custom gauges from speedhut, a new dash bezel, sublime wiper and heater stickers, Boss single din stereo with a flip out screen, backup camera and custom switches from OTRATTW.
I removed the original gauge pod, did a little fabrication to the new gauge bezel to fit the new gauges and painted the bezel grey. speed hut supplied all of the necessary sensors and wiring - pretty straight forward install, just time consuming. Made a switch panel and painted it sublime, wired the switches. stereo and backup camera.
I still need new carpet, seat belts and possibly a new dash pad.

Thanks 74 shortbed

Stealth mode kills the led license plate lights, they interfere with the infrared of the backup camera at night. One nice feature of the switches is you can change the "rocker" of the switch if the need arises.

I would like to see the stealth mode as a switch that flips up the license plate so it can't be seen by pboto radar ....we have a TON of the sneaky photo radar vans parked along side our roads that snap pictures of your license plate if you are more than 12 miles over the speed limit.

Looks great. What brand paint did you use? Was it the exterior paint or interior paint just matched to the outside? Also what kind (enamel, urethane etc.). Thanks

That looks nasty man! Love the color and modernization! What color gray did you use on the dash? Did you paint it yourself or purchase it that way? Id love all the details possible cause id love to do that color to mine. Dash is next on the project list

Thank you for the compliments. To be more clear, all of the metal inside the cab is/was green. The plastic/vinyl was mis-matched blue/black/grey. I painted all of the plastic/vinyl charcoal grey. I used dupli-color vinyl fabric paint. Prepping is very important, I used dupli-color wax and grease remover and adhesion promoter before spraying the color.
The switch panel was painted with base coat / clear coat (green). It took a lot of tinting to match the green. Hopefully this all makes sense.

Were the gauges ordered that color or did I misunderstand your post. Either way it looks awesome. Way to think outside of the box. Love the gray as well.

Thanks, at Speedhut you can custom design gauges, and that is what I did. The cool thing with their gauges is the mounting. they don't use brackets to hold them in place, their gauges are threaded with a giant nut that spins on to hold them in place which allows for instillation in tight places.

small update, Took the door panels off and let the Mrs's work her magic with some sublime material she found. re-painted the door panels to freshen them up. I'm was in the process of installing new window felt but I ordered the wrong ones so now Im waiting for the correct ones to arrive :( . cleaned the power window tracks and lube everything. I was not happy with the power window speed so I installed the LMC power window wiring upgrade - they are sooooo much better now. Added a fuse block next to the battery. I will run the power windows and LMC's headlight harness from it. Hopefully it will look cleaner and puts all of the fuses in one place.
I need to order carpet soon, install it and wait for some good cruising weather.
I will get some pictures in the near future once I get the door panels back on.

Man....I would have liked to set you up with some custom optioned harnesses!! Auto down/up windows and adjustable delay off headlight harness would add to your "updated" theme!
