HEI ignition module relocation
Don't waste your time. Failed modules are not that common if they are GM and well greased. Problem originates with poor quality parts and dried up grease. If your replacing one go to a pick and pull, find a used GM.- fast 99

It amazes me how much rust the east coast vehicles have. Rust in the NW is not even close to what you deal with. One of my trucks needed a 6" repair on one door sill that was it. A local pick and pull has at least 4 decent cabs too bad shipping would be prohibitive.- fast 99

Quadrajet hard start fuel bleed off.
Have seen the needles stick closed on various carbs. Filter should stop drain back. Leaving the clip off may not always be desirable. My trucks sometimes sit for 6 months+. Do I need an electric fuel pump!
Think about it this way. How many new trucks would have been returned to the dealer if this was normal? GM did not install electric pumps; they didn't need it. However if they sit for a few days fuel will evaporate from the carb. Could also be fuel leaking out of Q jet well plugs, weak pump...- fast 99

Odd you say idles fine in N and bad in drive? That's usually only a 2-300 RPM change. Check EGR. Most times a finger can be used to pull up diaphragm. If not, need to use vacuum, either suck on it with an extended hose or use vacuum pump. If ok move on to other possible vacuum leak areas...- fast 99

That is on the lower side but should be ok. Assume you double checked it with a known mechanical gauge? About the only reasonably easy thing to do is install a HV pump. Brakes locking up
If you do suspect wrong pushrod there is a tag wire procedure to check it. Takes 2 people. Remove all the fluid in the master. With a small piece of wire insert in the smaller front port. If wire can't be easily inserted, you have found the problem. Have the helper VERY slowly with hand only... -
Brakes locking up
Apply brakes then open bleeder on caliper. Is residual pressure present and when doing that do the rotors turn freer? Description sounds like something isn't allowing all the fluid to return. Takes very little pressure for disc brakes to drag. -

Factory 3 point seat belt harness.

Jack ideas?
Found an old cab organizer at local pick and pull. Set the jack in the corner stays there ok. Could be more firmly mounted on the other side. Also have the original jack under hood but those are getting hard to find.- fast 99

Fuel guage bounces?
Know the gauges bounce somewhat from open design of the tank. This gauge bounces rapidly from full to empty when driving with 1/2 tank. It is NOT normal. No way GM would have sold a new vehicle like that. Not opposed to replacing the gauge if that will fix it. Just asking if there is another...- fast 99
